and what else? Level 18 is, of course, a horror show - none of the four perks which become available at that level are particularly good. Then there are levels 10 and 14, which have Finesse and Cyborg, respectively. The way to tell the difference is that if you VATS on one of them, they are simply called "Hitman", and carry a different note saying "Kill this person for not doing what mr Burke wants".Įven granting those, what on earth do you see at level 8 that's worth more than a straight-up 5% extra damage? You don't need Commando or Size Matters if you're going Gunslinger Impartial Mediation, Rad Resistance, and Scrounger are all meh at best and even Strong Back isn't essential - it's a convenience item, not a potential lifesaver. Burke (even if he is already dead!) puts out a second contract on you, with the same people.

The second one is if you disarm the bomb. These are the ones that gives you the "you think you can walk around being goodhearted without someone taking action?" speech the first time they find you. If you VATS on a Talon handling that contract he is called "Talon Merc", and they are carrying the usual paper about the contract. The first, and most common one, is the "You are too nice to people!" which might be put on your head by Tenpenny, although I am not sure. So, I guess it is indirectly tied to the bomb as well. There are a maximum of two contracts on you that the Talons "handle": Now, I had the Sherrif arrest Burke and agreed to disarm the bomb, but couldn't really do it, so I just ran around and, inevitably, into some Talons. Huh? I've had some Talons attack me despite being unable to disarm the bomb.
